"A backsplash is an invaluable asset for adding a touch of style and keeping your walls safe. With the potential to extend from floor-to-ceiling, it's like having you countertop reach up over obstacles such as stoves or sink - protecting your wall from grease and water damage!"

Color and Style are not the same for all backsplash

The first step in choosing the right backsplash tile is to determine what color and style you want. Do you want something neutral or bold? Do you want classic or modern? Think about what colors are already in your kitchen such as cabinet colors, countertops, paint colors, etc. Using these colors as a starting point can help narrow down the options. If there’s no particular color scheme in mind, then think about what kind of atmosphere you want to create with your backsplash tile – warm and inviting or cool and contemporary? This will help determine the overall look of your backsplash tile.

Size Matters

Once you’ve chosen a color and style, it’s time to consider size. Small tiles will make a room appear larger while large tiles will make a room appear smaller. If you are looking for a subtle look opt for small tiles; if you are looking for a more dramatic look go with larger tiles. Also consider whether or not to mix different sizes of tiles together (i.e., small tiles above stovetop area and larger tiles elsewhere). This can create interesting patterns that draw attention to the wall without being overwhelming.

Materials Make It Last

The final factor to consider when choosing backsplash tile is material type – porcelain, ceramic, stone, glass, etc.. Different materials have different characteristics such as durability and upkeep requirements. Porcelain tends to be less expensive but requires sealing every 6-12 months whereas stone is more expensive but doesn’t require much upkeep at all aside from occasional cleaning with mild soap and water solution. Glass also requires little upkeep but may need periodic resealing depending on how often it is exposed to moisture (i.e., near sink area).

Ceramic tile is the go-to for backsplashes, as it offers endless options in shapes, sizes and colors. Create a custom design with your favorite color combos or adopt an intricate pattern – whatever you choose will make sure to lend some style pizzazz to any kitchen!

Choosing the right backsplash tile can be tricky but it doesn't have to be stressful! By following these simple steps - considering color & style, determining size & shape, and selecting material type - any homeowner or contractor can easily find the perfect backsplash tile for any kitchen or bathroom remodel project! With these tips in mind, homeowners can now confidently choose the perfect backsplash tile for their homes!
